Welcome to the page for the first ever BOTH intensive. We are excited to offer three full days of dancing in a lovely studio in Forest Hill, South London. Alongside BOTH classes we have invited one fabulous guest teacher a day to teach a style we don’t do ourselves. This makes for a very dynamic jam-packed intensive.

Bafana Matea was born in Mamelodi, South Africa and was the recipient of an Alvin Ailey Dance Fellowship, which took him to New York City. His previous company affiliations have been with Elisa Monte Dance, Ballet Hispanico, Battery Dance company and in 2014, Bafana accepted a contract with Tavaziva Dance Company in London. Bafana's choreography has been presented by Battery Dance Company in New York City, Africa, South America and Europe and he has performed in over 50 countries. He currently teaches Contemporary at Laine Theatre Arts, Bird College, Morea Performing Arts & Wilkes Academy.
Candice is a Jamaican professional dancer with more than fifteen years of teaching and performance experience. She studied at Ballet School, Edna Manley College and Florida International University in the fields of Dance, Theatre and Production. She has taught dance in various institutions, founded several arts programmes and has toured the world performing, proudly representing National Dance Theatre Company of Jamaica as a principal for over a decade. Candice most recently completed a 5+ year stint with the cast of the world-renowned Disney’s The Lion King Musical in London where she is now based, filling the role of Dance Captain. Candice works from an absolute belief in the arts as the ultimate outlet and tool for personal and societal transformation.
Sermet-Semttex is South-East London based choreographer, teacher and performer with Turkish Cypriot roots. Trained in contemporary technique and hip hop, he is currently working for Pegasus Theatre in Oxford as the lead Street Dance Facilitator. Sermet' s interest in movement/dance drives from an emotional ecstasy from either end on the spectrum which is explored both in his classes and choreographic work. Recent works include 'Enigma': a solo performance for the stage and group work made for film, and 'Yeah Yeah, We're Doing This' with Orley Quick, commissioned by Dancin' Oxford and Pegasus Theatre.
